Dear Aetolians, We have a couple of exciting updates to share with you:
The Art of Persuasion Arrives!
Taron the Fence, whose silver-tongued exploits recently caused quite a stir across Sapience, agreed to share his secrets of Persuasion. This entirely new general skill introduces social combat to Aetolia, allowing you to engage with denizens through careful argument and rhetoric rather than steel and sorcery.
Through Persuasion, you'll find yourself appealing to denizens through a combination of logical, emotional, and ethical appeals as you attempt to convince them into performing various tasks for you - from spreading rumors and gathering intelligence to inciting protests and even inspiring religious devotion. Whether you're looking to acquire gold through careful negotiation, recruit loyal informants to be your eyes and ears, or even convince merchants to adjust their prices, the power of persuasion opens up entirely new ways to interact with the world of Aetolia.
Year 10 Celebrations
March brings with it our first decennial celebration of the new age! Throughout all of March, the realm will come alive with tournaments, games, and festivities. Here's just a taste of what awaits:
During the celebration, you'll enjoy special daily bonuses throughout the week:
- Double milestone caps on Mondays.
- Double XP on Tuesdays.
- Favours for everyone on Wednesdays.
- Faster denizen respawns on Thursdays.
- Increased critical hits on Fridays.
A special daily quest will run throughout March, and we've prepared an exciting themed design contest running until March 11th. There are dozens of games and events with thousands of credits and prizes awaiting those who join in the festivities! And of course, as always, Lord Sorrelion Sammonward's after-party barge will show up once the games have concluded!
